What to try when a PlayStation console can't connect, times out or can't reach PlayStation Network.
Most network codes (NW-, WS-, WV-, NP- and many CE- codes) are about the connection or PlayStation's servers, not a fault in the console.
First checks
- Check PlayStation Network's service status page. If there's an outage or maintenance, wait.
- Restart the console fully, and power-cycle the modem and router.
- Run the console's internet connection test.
