About this component

The Durango APU puts the Xbox One's CPU, GPU and memory controller on one die: two four-core Jaguar clusters at 1.75 GHz and a 12 CU GCN GPU at 853 MHz (about 1.31 TFLOPS), plus 32 MB of fast ESRAM to make up for the slower DDR3. The One S version is a shrink with the GPU raised to 914 MHz. The One X is a different chip altogether (Scorpio Engine: 2.3 GHz CPU, 40 CU GPU at 1.172 GHz, about 6 TFLOPS, 16 nm) with GDDR5. The APU is a large soldered BGA, so replacing it is rarely practical and a board swap is the usual fix. Part variants: Original Xbox One: X887732-001 (iFixit). Xbox One S: X949211-001. Xbox One X uses a different 'Scorpio Engine' SoC, Microsoft X950118-002.
