About this component
The Pro APU doubles the base PS4's GPU compute units and raises clocks, giving about 4.2 TFLOPS for checkerboard 4K output. It shares the same 256-bit GDDR5 interface as the base console but with faster memory. The cooler and fan run harder than on the slim, so dust build-up and dried thermal paste are common causes of noise and thermal shutdowns. Part variants: iFixit's CUH-7000 teardown reads CXD90044G; psdevwiki lists CXD90044GB, GC and GD variants, mapping to later Pro boards not confirmed.
What it does on this board
8-core Jaguar @2.13GHz with a 36 CU Polaris GPU (~4.2 TFLOPS).
